Monterrey is kask's second innovation lab — a physical incubation space being established in coordination with Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of Latin America's leading research universities. Situated within the Monterrey Innovation District (DistritoTec), the lab provides kask with access to world-class facilities, interdisciplinary research talent, and a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem focused on translating science into market-ready solutions.

The Monterrey node is designed to develop "fish with legs" — transitional products and prototypes that bridge the gap between pure research and commercially viable technologies across kask's core domains: agentic systems, biogenic materials, precision fermentation, and adaptogenic wellness. Where the Konstanz node serves as the initial prototype lab in the EU, Monterrey extends the innovation network into the Americas, leveraging Tec de Monterrey's emphasis on smartshoring, applied research commercialization, and deep ties to Mexican and Latin American industry.
